Müteferrika is going to be an HTML-based book publishing toolkit.
Its goals are:
- Web, ebook and print as equal citizens
- Consistent across media
- Comfortable to write with a lightweight markup language
- Portable and easy to install
- Extensible, does not enforce structure on books
- Freeform post-processing of HTML with a DOM-like API
- Congruent with how books are written, not just a glorified static site generator
- Full power of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
